The type of tile you have used and the age of the roof tiles will determine how much damage your roof will take and what will be necessary to repair the roof. If roof tiles are not replaced the expose the inside of the roof and any insulation and electrical cabling to the elements, which could lead to further problems.

Repairing Roof Tiles

Repairing a tiled roof is not just a question of throwing on some tiles. A skilled workman will have to replace these tiles and ensure that there are no gaps between the tiles or any spaces which will allow the tile to dislodge itself and fall off the roof again.

Verge tiles also need to be put in place to hold the roof tiles in place and also to create a finished look on the tiled roof, hiding any exposed tile edges.

If you havent made use of verge tiles along the edges of your roof you will probably have fitted barge boards. These are the boards that have toe appearance of trim along the edges of the roof.

The surface area of barge boards can sometimes be quite large, making it easier for wear and tear to take place or for the elements to damage or remove them.

Having barge boards or verge tiles replaced is part of repairing your roof. Afflink have years of experience repairing roofs whether they are tile roofs or made of another material ensure the physical and visual quality of their work is of the highest standard
