Ceiling Repair Because of a Burst Geyser

In many older homes the geyser was not installed with a drip tray and as a result if the geyser bursts or has a strong leak then water will cause damage to the ceiling boards. Hot water damages ceilings very quickly and unfortunately can spread to other parts of the house. We can repair this kind of ceiling damage for you very quickly.

Ceiling repair because of a leaking roof

Every roof has a few leaks in it but when the leak is on a vulnerable part of the ceiling then the ceiling will need fixing. We also provide a waterproofing service as ceiling damage because of roof leaks are quite common. The photo on the right shows an extreme example of a roof leaking that we had to break down quite a lot to get the waterproofing done. Often the actual hole is quite far from where the damage is done on the ceiling as water can travel quite a distance on roof rafters.

Having to replace the ceiling in your home or even in just one of the rooms can be a difficult and messy task. Someone with experience will be able to determine what has caused the camage to your ceiling, if it was not evident, like a burst geyser, but rather a gradual decline in the condition, eventually leaving you with the need for replacement or repair.

Ceiling repair

Ceiling repair will require you to remove the cause of the damage to your ceiling, and depending on what type of ceiling you have, that offending ceiling board will need to be removed and replaced with a new one and made to blend in with the rest of the ceiling. If the damage has spread or you can see that the condition of the other ceiling boards are deteriorating it may be a wise idea to have the whole ceiling replaced. That way it will be uniform, the belnding in to the rest of the ceiling would have had be done anyway.

Repair of ceilings does not always require replacing the ceiling or the ceiling panels. Plaster ceilings can deteriorate with age and crack or sag. These ceilings will need to be reattached, followed by plastering and painting.
